These magazines are all different genres of music and they all show the same conventions but in a different manor. For example the iconography for a pop magazines is to have bright pinks and yellows with love hearts and advertisemtns for clothes and full of posters of the bands that are 'hot' at that moment. However the iconnography is different for a magazine such as Kerrang as it is a totally different genre, it is heavy metal/rock. so, this things we associate with it will be different such as the colours are blues and blacks and reds as they are the colours we associate with that genre.the advertisements or sell lines are things such as 'never before seen photos' of a band or artist. And things usch as interviews with the bands amd artists themselves, these are associated with the a magazine of this genre.
the iconograohy of the genre that i am doing which is indie rock are very specific to the grnere but they have aspects which are alike to magazines with genres such as Kerrang and Vibe. I belive this is because that the target audience is similair, there isnt a soecific target audience for these specific magazines however it isnt particularly for a young audience of 10 and under so they all have similair codes and conventions. The indie rock magazines usually have a red and black colour scheme running throughout as thye are the colours which are represnted throughout the genre of indie rock magazine
